About the Nearshore Ecology Program
In 2025, ODFW’s Marine Resources Program reorganized the Oregon Marine Reserves Program and Marine Habitat Project into one program. The creation of the new Nearshore Ecology Program culminates a vision to bring efforts focused on marine conservation and nearshore habitat research under one roof. The Nearshore Ecology Program aims to strengthen collaborations, techniques, and teamwork around two groups historically focused on marine conservation science.
